Thanks to y'all for the support and feedback. I feel encouraged. As for construction pics, not yet, but I'll open the box and take some pics to show how it's put together. Basically, the Framus neck is mounted into a cutout on the bottom of the box (it's thinner than the slide top). I cut a 1 x 2 of pine to size, screwed it in place and then screwed the neck into it from the bottom. I also attached part of a turnbuckle with a screw to the neck outside the box and ran it through a hole I drilled. I then attached the rest of the turnbuckle inside. I attached another turnbuckle to it with the other end also going through a hole on the other end. I used shims under the bottom of the neck and the bridge (also from the Framus). I tightened the turnbuckles to adjust the action, which I've been told is pretty good. I will take some pics to make all this understandable.
