I agree, Ray. It can do that. Somehow I have made myself try hard to avoid it. Maybe I should loosen up a bit. In my opinion, electric strings are better for slide.

Fret rattle Unc? My third build, the only Java I have, has the big "Blues Blasters" acoustic strings and she just plain growls when I bang on her. I avoided it at first too, but it's kind of like an acoustic overdrive and gives it a nice raunchy tone even though it has no electrics. I've grown to love it.
An ominous and good tune. I like the fret rattle. I was travelling yesterday and noticed Taj Mahal and others often had fret rattle. I avoid it as much as I can when I play. You know, maybe I am missing out. It has some soul to and accent to it.
