  • Appreciated your comment , thanks very much Dave!
  • A beauty Richard. The variety of your talent is amazing.
  • I blame the cats and dogs for anything found on the floor. hehe. I like the shallow body since my shoulders have issues sometimes (auto accident many yrs ago - got hit by a drunk driver) and you don't have to reach your arm as far around the bout (mountains come out of the sky... oops wait, what were we talkin' about?) lol  as with the deep bowl or even a normal dreadnought. Which is another reason I like small body guitars and cbgs. Harry is a huge influence - Thanks!

  • Your secret is safe, but probably not well hidden. Thank you for the guitar photo and video. That is some spitting tasty good guitar playing and singing. Not familiar with that song, I see from your videos a Harry Chaplin fan you are! I sounded like Yota! Bye golly that's an Ovation, signature neck top and shallow bowl. I find it's a troubling lap guitar, the Ovation, with the rounded body and it wanting to constantly slide off. Finally a few years back started using a strap. Like the guitar and great song, thank for sharing them!
  • Guitar and tune do sound great. You are welcome, Richard! LOL I don't need no fancy spittoon when the floor is so handy (don't tell my wife!) just kidding...  TGIF indeed!

Here is a YT with it played unplugged: Stranger with the Melodies - Harry Chapin cover

  • Thank you Derek! I have to stretch out on the O every now and then. I first read your comment and, small print and all, thought you said "old Balladeer swallow bowl! Started feeling bad for you! Spittoon..20 years old...love the neck..TGIF!!! For me, just like Tuesday or Thursday! 40 oz beers flying off the shelves today. Sounds like a cool guitar D, you have a picture of it on the nation? A video! Love to check that one out. Appreciate your comments, thanks Derek!
  • Great tune Richard! The O sounds great and I like your technique on this one. Great singing too!

I have a 20 something old Balladeer shallow bowl and love the neck.

  • Appreciate it, thanks Erasmo!
  • Thanks James O! I've been with my Ovation over twenty years now. I use to have a Yamaha acoustic, but the Ovation took over. Sounds like you have quite a collection of guitars.
  • Thanks Jim! Andries said a lot of deep stuff! Had a few pyrotechnic fireworks Leftover from the fourth. My slide to s coming along, thanks for you help and the videos.
