  John, just checked out that Guy Davis tune. Nice tuba! Maybe I can persuade my band to go in a new Blues direction. This is the stuff we usually have to play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzG-OcCur9A (Fortunately/Unfortunately you can't see me, but you can see my gold tuba)

  Got to agree, Brick.  We had a great time.  

  Vinyl, pack your cbg fun into that day.  Tuba!  I like tuba.  Do you know Guy Davis's song with tuba- 'Step It Up And Go'?   As for the venue, don't wear sandals!

  Hey John - Yup, we've got Boxfest in Manchester next weekend. Unfortunately I'm only going to make it to one of the days, as I've got a commitment to play tuba with my brass band in a contest in the Yorkshire Dales. So, while I'm sat playing my tuba in a stone sheep pen (I kid you not!) in the beautiful surroundings of rural Yorkshire, I'll be wishing I was in Manchester drinking some real ale and shooting the breeze about scale lengths and string gauge.
