THIEVIN' BLUES==============Now I ain't a good manI never made an honest dimeI ain't a good manNever made an honest dimeI make my living on the runAnd I been thievin' all my lifeI used to run with burglarsWe took what we could findI used to run with a band of burglarsWe took what we could findBusted in people's housesUp and down the county lineI been from Rollin' Fork to BentoniaNew York to CaliforniaThis devil's been down to GeorgeI even been to WinnipegAnd I ain't a good manI never made an honest dimeI make my living on the runI been thievin' all my lifeNow I had me a womanWay down in BirminghamI had me a womanWay down in BirminghamShe took my last six hundred dollarsAnd went back to her other man-----The bit about running with a band of burglars is actually sort-of-true in a roundabout way...about 14 years ago, I was in a punk band called The Burglars.

Bug: three string fretless biscuit tin guitar. It sounds really banjo-like, though, which is why this is one of my favorites (despite the mile-high action).
Jim: You know, I never thought I'd experience something coming out of a cookie tin that I liked more than the actual cookies, but I've gotta admit - I think I like the sound of the tins more than the cigar boxes. Jus' don' tell nobody I said that.
If I could click like four times I would do so. I love the lyrics and song. Wish I had wrote them! Well maybe not the Winnipeg line!!!! But it made the audience laugh and me too.

Another great song & great performance. A whole lotta fun from a cookie tin!!
Great reaction from the crowd. Awesome song.
Gus, I'm 'gotta warn ya'. The Winnipeg line is funny and good. The whole song is good.
Thanks for the kind words, everyone!
UJ: I went with "Winnipeg" because I couldn't think of a word that rhymed less with "California," etc.
Nice Gus bandit blues
