Two Cigar box guitars

Two homemade guitars. 1st one oak neck 3/4 size open c tuning. Second full size laminated pine neck open g tuning.First sounds more 'steel' second seems to be more banjo like. Not sure why, any ideas? Not particularly inspired playing, just a video really to show friends and family what I made....
