Hi all. I've got a new job which means that mid February I move even further East to Bradwell in between Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. Anyway, I was wondering whether there's anyone out that way? Not sure where I'm going to get my cigar boxes from…

Morning Chris, I'm in a village called Foulsham which is about 8 miles Norwich side of Fakenham. Washed up on the east coast from Birmingham and new to building and playing (really badly :oD ). Darren
Nice looking bass. I made one based on Havlena's cookie tin bass that sounded pretty good. Took it to a jam to try it out and sold it before I could demo it on video. Working on another one since I've spools of weedwhacker line sufficient for about twenty or so.

Hey Chris,
I love your version of The Wildwood Flower, it's one of my favourite tunes. Good to see another UK based CBGer.

Hi Chris
Thanks for the comment even though my playing is pretty bad ha ha. The bottle top jingles work great in my stomp box and on my high hat tambourine .All john's idea ,saved me a fortune and they look cool ,I had a master class from him tonight on how to make them.
'How dare he suggest such a thing,' she blustered! ;-) I'm trying to get her 'on the Nation' to prove her worth! (and HGMC of course) B-)
Yer, I'll be working on my new, true image soon!
The bow did get replaced on a like for like basis at eye watering expense to the insurance company. The gift from her grandfather, when she was a student, gained a lot in value during the passing (45ish cough) years. She's now got a 'cheap' bow for scratching her cbg fiddle as well.
You might try this guy too (Dave Ingledew), he helped me a lot with the parts for the fiddle:

I'll be using him again for Mk2 as my client complains about the dept of the box I used. Cheek!
