My take on Leon Payne's The Lost Highway. Played on my Cadburys biscuit tin guitar through my little suitcase amp.I'm a rolling stone, all alone and lostFor a life of sin, I have paid the costWhen I pass by, all the people say"Just another guy on the lost highway"Just a deck of cards and a jug of wineAnd a woman's lies make a life like mineOh, the day we met, I went astrayI started rollin' down that lost highwayI was just a lad, nearly twenty-twoNeither good nor bad, just a kid like youAnd now I'm lost, too late to prayLord, I've paid the cost on the lost highwayNow, boys, don't start your ramblin' roundOn this road of sin or you're sorrow boundTake my advice or you'll curse the dayYou started rollin' down that lost highway

Its on my version Vinyl I'm sure I wasn't the only one loading all the songs. Oily you can post it on the download page easy to add. That thing does sound like a metal banjo
Oily, don't worry mate. I was a more than a little uncomfortable with having 3 tracks on the album, and to be honest I only recorded it for the guys who were involved. I assure you that if I was in the least bit peeved I'd have said something at the time.
Cheers for your comment on this tune, it's much appreciated.
Did I forget to put Black Widow Blues on the album??? OMG!!! I'm so sorry if I missed it...gonna go back and look through the submissions again. Shitshitshitshit...
BTW, great tune, git, playing, singing on this one!
Cheers, RTZ. Cigar boxes aren't so easy to come by in the UK, so we make do with what we've got. And we've got biscuits as an accompaniment for a nice cup of tea.
This was the second guitar I've made, and still my favourite to play. It was the same guitar I used to record my version of Black Widow Blues for the Townes Van Zandt tribute album, but it didn't make it onto the album.
