Thanks folks. I used the GarageBand app on my i-pad. (ive found that so much easier than GarageBand software on a Mac).
1. Picked an appropriate drum beat. ( didn't realise you have to start a recording with a drum beat ha) then recorded it.
2. Then recorded song whilst strumming listening to drum beat through some little earphones.
3. Selected a nice big double bass and tapped out the chords whilst listening to playback to lay that third track down.
4 saved it and emailed it to myself as a file.
5. Opened Camtasia software ( video editing) and imported the tune from where I'd eventually saved it.
6 dragged the tune onto time line.
7. Imported video track onto another time line
8. Deleted my giggles at start.........and end when I couldn't turn page to find rest of lyrics.....so you might notice the 'fade out' at end.
9. Snipped off the surplus video that was running in background.
10. Saved it and uploaded to You Tube and onto the CB Nation.
Cheers......I'm pretty sure there will be many other ways. It's fairly time consuming but great fun. Gonna get a collaboration up with Shane shortly. Standby for a South Yorks, West Yorks mash up. (he doesn't know this yet.....but it will happen ha) no rules lives on at the Nation
Also, Sammy. I have been playing a bit of make do tenor guitar. A small bodied six string using just the 4 higher strings. And I have a home made concert size uke about done. It is a cobbled up mess, but I hope it will be a player.
Sammy, I have been really enjoying playing key of C uke blues lately. Now I think I need to pick up on playing key of A. I can sing some in C, but more in A or G. Key of G on a uke ... I can strum but not much more. What are your big uke keys? Oh, I should say that I am using low G tuning.
Thanks John. Yes, Just getting used to this one that Shane made for me. It's much deeper in tone. Amazing, feel like im gaining ground...... 15 mins per day is my stress buster for sure. Cheers
