  • Really nicely performed. You also get a very nice sound from that guitar.

  •    I love that model. Great sound!

  • Bob, this is my favorite Whitley song. He played in lots of  really funky tunings. In this song he is playiing a 1930 National Duolian. Love the sound. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6DzLsfwe4U

  • Bob, it is a 1133. National made them 305788125?profile=original in 1956 and 57 as student guitars. They are 3/4 size and the resonator is exposed on the front and back sides. Neat little guitar.

  • Thanks, never heard of him before. I will be checking him out some more. Too many great pickers die way too young.

  • Thanks, John. I'm a big fan of Chris Whitley. He played a 1956/7 National just like the one I have. He died way too young. Here is a clip of him playing the National. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsyDVtgjx08&list=FLM6xaWB5EcYwIe...

  • Great vocals & picking. What kind of National?

  • Good song and a great performance.

  • James,

I don't why you couldn't have a cbg in prison. You always see dudes playing guitars in the old prison movies.

    Thanks!

  • do they allow cbg's in a prison?     love that sound you get from that National, good stuff
