Thank you! this is about the third guitar that I've skipped the nut and instead used a zero fret. It really seems to help dial the intonation in as about as good as it can get.

You are good enough to make a mediocre guitar sound good. But that is clearly an excellent git. The intonation up the neck is impressive.
