I used a table saw and 1/2 inch steel strip... I think if I had a drill press I would use it as a router as seen in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_b3CWkHHSYE

  • I drilled a hole and then I took a coping saw and threaded the blade through the hole and connected it to the saw handle and then cut it out...
  • Looks good Brian! curious as to how it will hold up to the 6 strings. how'd you cut the f holes?
    Ya killin me Spence.
  • Ha... yeah, my MAN-CARD came in the mail today... recertified!
  • safe to say that you've reclaimed your manhood.

Poor BTal is still laboring in vain to do so...I'll pray for him
  • Thanks, Paul.. I have the tuners in place and they seem ok.. will not know until I get it strung though.. here's a video of them in place.. http://www.cigarboxnation.com/video/build-2-fingerboard-and-tuners
  • Nice job Brian, you show some really good build skills - It will be interesting to see how the neck holds up with that truss rod and how you fit 6 tuners on your headstock. I have a hard time keeping things "clean" with 4. The box looks good. Hope you post some more video.
  • It was posted on another topic in the forums and I thought it was a clever technique also... can't wait to try it.
  • Thanks for the drill press router tip...excellent idea. I will definitely use it in the future.
