I decided to make a Cherokee 4-hole Whistle in the key of Am out of PVC. I never tired this before but I followed Charlie Mato Toyela's (of Blue Bear Flutes) instructional video. It's a very simple DIY project, even if you've never done something like this before. Thanks to Charlie for a great tutorial.

  • made a river flute of bamboo once, gonna try this project, nice tone, thanks for sharing !

  • Thanks Doug and Matt. It's surprisingly easy to build. The most difficult part is sanding the block. Other than that it's really easy.

  • I will have to try that!! Was it hard?

  • I built one of those once, but yours is way better!! Really a good video and great sounding flute!
