  • Yep. Good explanations. I do a lot of this kind of stuff on both 3 and 4 strings, but I do it with a combination of shapes and sounds to get me there. If I find a shape-sound combo I like, I end up using it, mixing it with some of the standard blues power chords. Gives a jazzy, occasionally urban or Middle Eastern feel to things.

  • Thank's Ted, I'm having fun figuring this all out, and thought I'd pass it along. Three-string playing is so new, and it seems like most players are stuck with the blues, ... notthing wrong with the blues, they're my first love; but maybe this info will help someone push past boundaries.
