  • cheers-well I just put the whole recording into garageband then copied the same track-but I might have added a little extra distortion to the second track if I recall-its hard to remember now.But yeah its basically me singing acoustically (into the room) and playing the git through a microcube. Then double it. To be honest though,I usually just plug into me amps, then play it in front of the mac as if its an audience-its very easy cos I can get confused with lotsa tracks and stuff like that..HB

  • Thank for the tip...so is the over dub a double tracked acoustic recording?... That micro cube and guitar combo sound great. Got to get one of those!

I have done double tracking before for fattening sound, you get some interesting things happening if you have a tiny delay between tracks of 0.02/0.03 of a second.. kind of does your reverb for you.

Love your sound and playing man..very inspirational

  • well I plug the git it into a microcube, stomp on the wooden floor, sit in front of a mac computer and sing -it has a pinprick built in mic and I sing into imovie 08.Almost all my vids are done that way.I add a splash of reverb in imovie 08 and jobs a good un.However with this tune,I then double tracked the whole thing in garageband-that fattened up the sound and accounts for the drop in volume when I speak afterwards, because I only double tracked the song, not the talking.Hope this helps.

  • Thats a great sound! .........what are you running that through?

  • Hey thanks for listening Greg.
