It says so much - our's were rhubarb, apple, pear, elderberry, strawberry, pumpkin- what she canned before the winter set in - cannot remember a bad pie or Christmas meal from the garden vegetables she canned/jarred - goods in the cellar - even during the hardest times Dad brought home what he could - going to be the first Christmas without her after many better and easier times but SWEET MEMORIES of dedicated MOM's PIE - can't be nothing be good! SHARING this with other siblings as we adjust to this year being kept apart... [[bob]]
