This is a custom license plate resonator guitar that I built this past winter. It has a working light above the plate that looks great at night. The image on the plate is licensed artwork created by Shawn King in remembrance of Canadian Folk Music legend Stompin Tom Connors.

Thanks guys.I been playing that riff over and over and over again, eventually I will have to learn something else...
The electrified sound comes from a 6-string piezo rod pickup mounted under the bridge. The nuts that support the bridge have holed drilled in the side of them, tapped for a 1/8" bolt. The bolts are used to fasten a 4" diameter stainless steel bowl onto the back of the plate. The pickup is sandwiched between the bowl and the license plate, and there is a 500K pot wired in for the volume control.
