A cover of Guy Clark's wonderful L.A. Freeway (one of my mums favourites). Played on my Marmite tin guitar through a karaoke machine's echo chamber, and my hi-hi system. I added a microphone to see what it sounded like. You can have two inputs, with different volumes, but the echo effect has to be on both.

  • A comment on Lost Highway led me here Real nice Vinyl. I think it's cool that people from the land of rain dig up these old country and folk guy's haha songs. Townes, Clark, Williams your headed in the right direction. Thanks Man!

  • Thanks very much guys, I really appreciate your supportive comments.

  • nice voice a pleasure to listen to thanks Slim,

  • Wow!!! I really enjoyed that...

  • Thanks Brandon. I've checked out Jerry Jeff Walker's cover version. I like it, it's a little more bombastic and less folky, but i like it.

  • Well I dig the tune man, I'm from east Texas and only knew of jerry Jeff's version, I will surely look Clark's up
  • Cheers John. If you're unfamiliar with Guy Clark, and if you like folky/country stuff, I recommend checking him out. L.A. Freeway is from his first album, 1975's Old No. 1, a superb record.

  • I love everything about this. The singing and the playing are both superb. The guitar sounds great and the song is a really nice one that I didn't know. Thanks a lot.

  • Thank you so much gang.

John: I've not heard Jerry Jeff Walker's version, I'll have to seek it out. My favourite take on it is by Guy Clark himself, the version he plays live on the Heartworn Highways film. And if you haven't it, I strongly suggest you do.

  •  very nice playing and singing, and i really like that guitar!!!
