The great pics of Jimmie's guitar brought to mind another of his homemade instruments. • Every few year ol' Jimmie shows up here. The old Pete Seeger show was amazing the Miss. John Hurt in my favorite.

  • Yup James O, I'm fascinated by the mouth bow and pretty much all one string instruments.

  • Good one from the past I've also heard You Play the mouth bow good stuff Man

  • Me too Wes.

  • Not so screwed up that I didn't get your meaning Richard. The talk box you're referring to uses the mouth cavity in a very similar manner. I made one once with a garden hose and a mid range horn that worked pretty well. I also once shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas I'll never know!

  • So true Erasmo.

  • Thanks for the share Jim! This your next project, keep it in the family you know ha! If anyone could mouth bow and play guitar, it’s you! Was this the precursor to the vocal tube thingy Joe Walsh and Peter Frampton use in conjunction with their guitar?  I just read that sentence, most screwed up sentence I’ve ever written, revising it would make it worse. It’s 5:30 in the morning, don’t try this at home!
