IF TEARDROPS WERE PENNIES by Carl Butler & PearlIf [I] teardrops were pennies and [IV] heartaches were [I] goldI'd have all the treasures my pockets would [V] hold.I'd [I] be, oh, so wealthy with [IV] treasures un-[I] told.If teardrops were pennies and [V] heartaches were [V] gold.An acre of diamonds I'd [IV] offer to [I] you.A solid gold mansion, an airplane or [V] two. This [I] world would be yours to [IV] have and to [I] holdIf teardrops were pennies and [V] heartaches were [I] gold.InstrumentalThe tears that have fallen won't [IV] buy you a [I] thing.the heartache you caused me won't pay for a [V] ring. The [I] love that I wanted would [IV] not have grown [I] cold.If teardrops were pennies and [V] heartaches were [I] gold./ VERSE ONE

Thanks, Tom. My deepest roots are Gospel, blues and old timey. Now I am trying to get a 15 song country set worked up and it is the OLD timey stuff again.
JAMES! Whah-some to hear from you. I hope all is well. I have missed you.
Kid away, buddy (Vinnie). Harp just takes a few minutes practice done on most days for about a year. Jack' s harp page for melody harp like done on this song. Tip for melody (straight) harp. Most or at least many songs start on 4 blow
Most basic tips for cross harp key of G - use a C harp - Draw (suck) the 3 low holes for the G chord.
Blow 4 hole or blow 34 for the C chord and draw the 5 hole for the D chord.
Iffen I didn't like I wouldn't kid ya... Right fine harp playin to boot.I bought one a while back, but I'm afraid I'll go and try to use it.But then I realize I like livin here and don't want to have to move...
No Janet, we're open and either she or me needs to put taters in at 3:00. If I'm not the keeper of the spud on Thursday I may venture up. Thanks for the invite and I will try to avoid spud duties :-)

Patrick, 1:30 pm at my house. Come earlier and will feed you lunch. Janet more than welcome too.
Nancy, that really did give me a LOL.
Thursday at 1330? Military time? I was never good at military time, you'd think I'd be better with as many episodes of MASH that I've watched :-)
Where at?
