After a suggestion from the ever wise Uncle John, I present my stab at a song written by Karl Silbersdorf & Dick Toops, based on a traditional folk tune, and made famous by Johnny Cash. I decided to play my Marmite guitar acoustically, and I'm not sure that was the right decision.I like old murder ballads, but abhor violence against women. Rich - I love Harry Belafonte, one of my favourite albums of all time is the one he recorded with Miriam Makeba. I didn't know he'd done a version of this song. I can't think of him singing such a dark song, I'll have to check it out.

  •    At first, I thought you were going to brutally stab some guys named Karl and Dick. Whew!

What a relief! Just a fun make-believe Disneyesque tune about murdering your gal. Bravo,

       sir!
