For all of you on the cracking the Strohn cigar box mission her is a quick video Demo of the Jumbo cigar box pipe and horn test. With sealed double dish plate resonator and horn system. Test mockup.Next mission is to crack the Strohn amplification arm system and diaphram membrane. Meica and Thin copper have been ordered, pivot arm being sketchedand made this week all being well.as this needs to be much louder before I do a proper build. (also doubles as a drainable dog bowl !... if only I had a dog)

Mike..see my sketch.. recon this will work for the soundbox...need to suss the push me pull me arm though.. but have some ideas....got a gramaphone soundbox on its way to play with...as this has a pivot, which I think amplifies the movement and increase movement on the membrane etc....so going to mock this up on my test box to see what I can do with it... : /| )

yup... phono horns in the post... but have to sort out the mechanism..and membrane to make this as loud as poss

Bug, I admire your ingenuity and the instrument. Take your time on this. Maybe a funnel for the horn?

wow that was a speedy resonse... I didnt think it had loaded yet... (the cone - that was my ex capacitor spraying sheet!)

looking for any more clues on the arm detail and membrane of the strohn, got some more tests planned this week..
