This is a Cohiba Cigar Box Guitar I made. It is a electric, three string, fretted, with a wormy cherry and walnut neck and a zebrawood fret board. Thanks to my Friend Matt "Sea Legs" Singley for playing for me.

  • The Zebrawood can be a pain sometimes to work with. I don't know the proper term, I call it fish scaling. It will have little chips (that look like fish scales to me) in the wood that are aggravating to sand out sometimes. I am not sure at what level, but the dust is toxic. It slicks up nice and is pretty tough and has hardwood like properties.
  • I'll get some pics up soon of the redux.
  • Heh. Padauk can too. Makore smells and poplar smells like a stable.

  • I've never used zebra wood before, but I understand it can have a bit of a funk to it when you're cutting it.
  • Zebrawood fretboard! I have one a Padauk which is kinda like zebrawood.
