  • Nice job.  Some builds take a lot of tweaking.   Great staining.  Now you have a winner - avoid over tweaking.
  • The strings are new and still had a lot of stretch in them, but I started in standard dropped D.  It may have strayed slightly from that.  Thanks man!
  • Really cool! What tuning are you using?
  • Thanks Uncle J, yes it is my attempt at a string tree.  It is two eye bolts and a piece of threaded stock.  the eye bolts simply threaded into the headstock.  I stained the poplar fretboard with an ebony stain and the red oak neck stained with a natural stain.  The Charlamagne is my very first CBG that has been reworked 5 times and each rework has brought out a new/better sound.  Thanks for the comment!
  • Sounds real good.  Nice  black neck, scarfing, etc.  Is that nut and bolt on the head stock a string tree/retainer??  If so, what holds it in place?
  • Thanks Wes, still tryin' to tweak it.
