A diddley bow I've built for a friend for Christmas - really a demo for him for some ideas of how to play it. But if anyone else wants a look feel free.

It's an E string - tuned up a bit though... spare from all the many packets of strings I've bought to string my three stringers.

Hi Bone digger,
I thought the handle was pine, but it was blinking hard to work it, so I suspect it is a harder wood than that. It only cost a few quid from our village hardware store, they have axe shafts for about £8 or £9. I'm thinking of making a cigar box 'axe' sometime when I've saved up enough pocket money.

No, just acoustic this one... he's 13 and doesn't play guitar so I thought I'd start simple.
