Ukulele Blues, Norman Moody plays Baritone Kamaka NOT A CBG VIDEO!!!!I plan to make a few CBG three stringers before I attempt to recreate the tone....of a real Uke. As piano/ organ is too much, my latest passion is lighter more Roots oriented musical equipment ....so I Ain't Superstitious ...

  • Blues heaven Norman, nice one mate. Hope you are on your way to building a Cigar Box Uke soon
  • BTW... its the Uke. She is bad to the bone. Also, an empty cabinet with an old german beer sign sittin' just above my head.... boxing in this room helps fatten the tone up. Try using a sheet to baffle bouncy areas. But a wall to reflect a small room effect. Some easy tips you heard before and one or two wotkin in Chip Douglas' The Studio here. As my friend, he gave me great time in the studio....I got to help shape the soundboards in the big room.
  • Played out for 30 (??) yrs. Love music. Love sharing. Email is posted. Just ask. I know some stuff I would love to pass along. Jimmy Rogers and his original House Rockers drummer, Tommy told me"we played the first part of the song...now its up to you to play the second part." He meant" us".
  • Hey Norman, how about some music lessons sometime! (Please?)
  • Very nice. That thing sounds good! Even with the limitations of the video sound it is obvious. Played with soul and feeling too!
  • Totally ok...I had the name first, for the record....now look what started! Stop! HEY!what's that sound? Its a CBG festival in Hawaii. Sound good? That's good cuz they wanna do it in a privately owned rec area huge! Camping etc....thanks for checking my old Uke, she was inherited from my old friend . We toured the islands while I had open weeks...the good ol days. This instrument plays me. Thanks again! Y'all pretty frenly roun hea!
  • Nice blues, man.  Be well and make music.
  • Oops. Just realised. That wasn't intended as a pun.
  • Very very nice playing. Sounds great and very moody.
