Thanks guys. I might get around to trying other ways of mounting a piezo like sandwiching in foam etc.and they might sound better. I haven't heard anything that would make me think so thus far. I have tried rod under bridge, don't like it. That's a personal preference. I just think the sustain is in the box, not the bridge. And the box has so much personal character and will, as it should, change from box to box. Part of the magic for me and keeps me interested in putting in the hours. The trick is in taming the piezo-in-box. Not saying anything against anyone else who does it differently. Room for everyone here.
