    sure  it  would   take    dbow    /   broom  wire     you   may  have a  hard  time  buying different guages   tho

    neck  swap  may be   an  option  . or  keep  it a  bass  ..  i  know some comanys  make longer strings    but  they  are  hard  to  find  .

    It's built like a rough russian tank..Pick do you think it will take diddley bow wire?

    As I cant seem to get 1100mm long guitar strings...

    The tuners are a bit pants...the gogs drop and you loose friction...(new tuners I feel are in order)

    It may be staying a Bass... unless I do a neck swap..hmmm
