Learned a lot, actually - great vid! Thanks very much. Even an untalented mope like me can understand it. Please keep the vids coming! I know I sure appreciate them...
Great tuition, Scrapyard - clear, relaxed, and with just the the right amount of dry humour!
(Shame that your band's vibraphone and marimba players were tuning up off-camera during the first couple of minutes. Percussionists, eh? - inconsiderate buggers!)
Hey Mr Scrapyard, you fooled me. I tune mine EBe and as I was half working and half listening, wondered why I couldn't make out your chords until I re-wound and listened properly. 3 nice videos though, I'll try the EAD tuing. Thanks
Real nice tone on that CBG. Good lesson too. I tune the EAD strings to DAD, but keeping it in the standard tuning configuration (EAD) is a great way to have an additional tuning to explore. Thanks for sharing. BTW: Your lovely garden makes for a great "woodshedding" place. Enjoy.

A brilliant lesson..
So that's tuned like the first 3 strings of a guitar then, rather that traditional CBG tuning?

Very nice.
Is that a Yorkshire accent I hear? ;-)
