NeanderPaul, Loved doing business with that Elmar, ordered a couple Flatpups for the next two 5 strings.
Thank you so much for a really cool video,(s) FYI, I grew up 21 odd years on a dairy farm in Indiana;(before joining the Marines) miss home and loved the country scenes in a couple of the videos. The rotary car video was cool aslo, I've rebuilt three, 280 ZX over the years, feel the need to create brother. Stay cool. Dave
Hi all,
Newbie to Nation, I have made about 6 CGBs, been working in engineering all my life, but I am not a musician. Frustrating me that I am dumb as a rock about tunings. Only know standard EADGBE. So eliminating my first and sixth strings. Leaves me with a ADGB.
Question: To tune to CGCE flat, (as Paul rocks on) do I Open tune down or up from the ADGB?
Sorry for the elementary ?and for being a rock, LOL,I just don't want to bust strings going up to see. Sounds like crap just tuning down, much buzzing because of low action setup.
Would much appreciate help, Thanks, Dave
Seems to work at least in part with tuning my DGB gutar to DGA#.
Sharecropper Joel and I were talking tonight about using some of the great ideas here - only on a 3 string. Yup. tried it and it does work well.
Many many can be found here…
