Sounds good. Now the trick is not speed, but steady. Tapping your foot can help, but the real truth is you need something to work against. Some use a metronome, but I prefer a drum machine. The preset shuffle rhythms are a lot more fun than the endless tick-tock of the metronome. You will know right away when you are off. You can start with a slow tempo and then slowly work it up to performance speed. Remember: Slow and steady is better than fast and hurky jerky. Keep working on it. Happy New Year. Enjoy.
Thanks JUJU, for the compliment. I guess I'm a little tougher on myself since I've been playin' guitar chords for 50 years. But yes I'm sure with some more practice I'll get even better at it. I'm still confused though about how to use it in a song. What'cha think, how would I use it in a song?
