Going to start making very beautifull 15 inch concert ukes...question for anybody out there...what strings should i use...nylon?? or do i use something else??? aswell tail pieces..what do people use for Ukes thats simple:) anybody who would like to respond that would be great..
.I might just make them through box necks ..so the strings a directly in the wood

I use fishing line. For a concert scale I use 50 80 60 and 40 lb fishing line. I buy the cheap bulk line from Kmart or big w. At about $4 a roll you get enough for a few hundred ukes for the price of one or two sets.
i think whit nylon you will get the most original Uke sound,and you don't have to much tention on the neck/box binding. But for a diverend sound, and a non tention i whoed go for silk and steel, and use only the top 4.for the lasching on if you do not use end stop on the string go for the spanisch double hole lasching ,co'se the nylon tend to strech a lot, that is for the transparend ones,if you have the black they are more strech proof.greeetssszzz
