scale length

Thanx Moritz, I checked out the video, really nice. My problem is that I have a 231/2" scale and my fret board is set up for a 251/2" scale On a 231/2" scale the fret spacing would be spaced differently, correct? But I'm sure it would play fine with a slide since  I'm not fretting.

  • Here is a video I did a while back, it might help you.

  • Yeah. Playing slide on it won't matter about the fret spacing being wrong. It might put you off visually. You might want to follow what you can see.

Is there no way to shift the bridge?

Here's a little tip to counteract the visual confusion. Take a black perminant marker pen and draw a line across the strings themselves after its been tuned. And follow the pen markings for note placement. Not ideal but anything might help.

Also, instead of shifting the bridge back 2" could you shift the neck away from the guitar 2"? Is there no way to cut it in the middle inside the box and put a 2" brace on it? It might look a bit ugly but just don't open the box :)
