I took a turn with the Merle Haggard classic in honor of my 101 year old Grandmother! She's still kickin'! And Merle is her favorite. It's in my player here.

    Thanks John! I've got a video in the works. It's pretty involved. But I was excited and decided to go ahead and release the song by itself first. :)

    Great song.  Make us a vid some time with it.  You are a great player and singer and probably know this 'tip'.  

    Vinylhead made a vid and it seems to me it was a Merle song too.   The gist of what I tried to learn from him was that to make some songs really work, we have to be actors too.  The song may not be close to who we really are, but while doing the song we need to be that person, to act it and feel it.  Kind of have to get out yeah yeahs out and have some guts.  You did did that.
