Hello Bluesdog. I am not sure, but I am assuming the guitars are being manufactured in China. I have some knowledge of this. Start up cost for the design and prototype can be in the $10,000 range to manufacture a guitar. Full size guitars that may sell for $500 can then be produced for about $100 each. Besides raising the money, the work is in the promotional advertising and distribution to sell enough units to pull a good profit. I agree with you. Using the internet to get "donations" to start a business with a slick promotional campaign is truly the most interesting part of this presentation. Taking a CBG type idea to market is a promising concept. No major manufacture is producing a 3 string instrument commercially "yet". Thank you for your comment. Enjoy.

Hey Dog not seen you around for ages mate hope all is good for you ? - thank you for your great comments on my Tricone build i really appriciate it bro

yes you are right the Reso cones are 4" not 6" i spun them myself so i could make the tricone a bit smaller - using 6" cones would have made the box way too big and if i was going down that route i may aswell have just made a regular Reso shape guitar which i did not want i wanted to keep the CBG look

thanks again bro keep well

juju :)

Thank you Bluesdog for responding. Please do me a favor and contact John directly at his Youtube page. I am sure he would be interested in hearing your suggestions. Additionally, if you know any other builders who might be interested, ask them to contact John too. I want to supply John with options, so the arrangement between him and the builder is a good fit. I believe this will be a great promotional opportunity for CBG Nation and the builder' instruments. Enjoy.
