I see the easiest way to replace a beaten-up cigar box without disassembling the whole guitar... Just rotate the old box by 90 degrees, remove, put the new one, rotate 90 degrees, it seats securely between the two "odd" pieces of wood.
I guess you're right Mike, it kind of is Swedish folk art! It's nearly finished now except for a nut and stringing it up. Just another three string.....but Swensified! I'm excited about it anyways. Thanks a bunch for your vote of confidence too.....means a lot coming from you.
My guitar building is gonna come to a screeching slow down now though.....I got a J.O.B and I start tomorrow.
