    Yes Robert.  I cut out a notch in the back of the neck to accommodate it.  I usually also drill a plug hole that goes through the back of the head into the neck, but didn't do it with this one.  In some of the other pics you can see the back a little better and how's it's secured.

    so the head is glued to the back of the neck?

    The head is about 1/4" thick...the neck is about 1 1/2" (notched to accomidate the head) and then a 1/6" fret board added on top of the neck.

    is that a really thin neck with a thick piece of wood for the fret board?
