  • i have the carriage part of it set up so i can set the bass on top and wheel it around.

  • What a great idea!  I might try a design like that, but WITH the wheel still on...good for hauling it around these Ozark hills. I work at the Ozark Folk Center, and this would be a real folky thing to show the visitors!  Are you able to easily remove the top to do the extra bracing?  Good luck with all your projects...I'll be keeping an eye out for more....-Omar/Mark

  • yep, 6 cubic feet of thumptastic fun. i have it set up for bluegrass and rockabilly. i want to make a fiberglass or wood archtop this summer. i'm currently considering additional bracing to the top. the bassbar is of conventional design but "conventionally" the top is arched and therefore stronger. i get a couple millimeters sag under the E foot with my current strings.

  • Looks great!  Is that made from a wheelbarrow??  Hmmm, I think I have one in my "resource yard"....
