Hey thanks so much! Sorry I did not see your post earlier. The one thing I have issue with, well besides trying to thread the strings on the tuners, is the tension on the strings. I used an old cabinet handle as a guide and it really is too much tension, perhaps a roller or some hard nylon would help? Well anyhows good luck, a banjo would be super cool would you expose that short string and counsel the other?
i love this man! i've been working on a similar idea for a 5 string banjo that uses an old quality street can for the body. seening as you've tried this already i'd love any advice you can throw my way!
