This one started life as a really knackered looking log, so tried to keep it as just that!I tried a new idea for the pickups as I wanted them to look like rusty nails just hammered into the log, so thats exactly what I used, left the nails in the garden for a few day and got the look I was after. The fretboard is spalted ash and you get this great looking lighteneing strike of the different coloured woods when you plank it. For the fret markers, as I wanted it to look rucked I just put a screw into the end of the soldering iron and branded them in, old door hindge for the tail piece and good old JD bottle for the bridge.

Thanks guys. I've just redone the finish on this one so will have to update the photos, I thought it was a bit to glossy so gave it a final going other with very fine wire wool to dull it a little.
