Just letting y'all see it before I start cutting. It looks all cracked and tired from the outside, but I filled them all with titebond already. Box is 10.75x5.25x2.75 and pretty stout, all things considered. Solid wood; no ply. I can't tell what kind of wood. It smells like old junk.

The top is old growth oak of some sort. So it has an eighth thick quartersawn oak top. The sides are 1/4 thick and they work like mahogany or poplar. Very fibrous and soft, but I don't know what it is. The oak gave itself away with the grain and pores and just how tough it is.
