Steel String Uke

This is a through-body type instrument with steel strings tuned reentrantly like a Uke. The body is made of an old wine box. I decided not to have a fretboard on this instrument, the frets are set directly into the neck. To achieve a neck angle I cut the notch for the "sound board" side of the winebox in the neck at an angle. You can see in the last picture how the neck tappers towards the bottom.
