It took awhile to shave down the piece of bone I used for a nut and file the string slots properly. The action is now low enough to be comfortable and the intonation is good. The low G still intones a tad sharp even after all the tinkering with the adjustable saddle and nut slot. Maybe it's because it's wound? Does anyone know of a solid steel string gauge that would be an appropriate low G for a tenor scale uke?
