I had some nice pine left over from a cabinet making project and decided to use it to try my hand at building a solid-body instrument. I'm planning to make a tenor scale ukulele and I designed an unusual asymmetric look for it. Since I don't have a router I decided to sandwich two pieces of pine to make the body. This allowed me to cut out the cavities for the electronics using drill bits, hole saws, a Forstner bit, and files. I also don't have a super long drill bit, so I used a router attachment for my Dremel to cut a channel for the wires.
