Last night at SCC 11 students built and learned to play 2-string Chugger cigar box guitars in 3-hours. The group did well and we were able to play 8 songs together! My program manager was there to observe the class, and the previous day I convinced her to participate and build a guitar and she did! It was a memorable evening. The students loved the 13 lame guitar jokes I spread out over the evening; it lighten the atmosphere.

Thanks for the encouraging words Jonathan! It is a lot of fun helping others start or continue on their musical journeys.
It is a fun class Dale! Watching students who have never played an instrument before "light up" as they find themselves playing and singing along with Singing in The Rain never gets old.
Sounds like a fun class. Wat cool!
Thanks BrianQ! I spend quite a bit of time preparing for these classes, always looking for ways to improve them, but the payoff last night as I we started playing songs together made it all worthwhile. And ... got me excited about preparing for the next one in the Spring!
Awesome!!!
