Thanks Michael - Yes, I was happy to come across 3 red Brick House boxes and 1 black Brick House box. I rested my 4-coil pick up and associated knobs (tone and volume) on top of many cigar boxes (about 20 different ones), and the red Brick House won. I thought I'd try it without sound holes... and she's fairly quiet, but audible. But plug her into the amp... and the sound is sweet and deep. Because the coil fits completely through the neck, there is a pine block reinforcement inside to connect upper and lower neck... and there are 4 brass-color "L" brackets external to give additional strength.
