This is a cigar box fiddle i built several months ago. My sources of inspiration were a cigar box fiddle kit provided by C.B. Gitty and photographs of similar instruments i found while surfing the internet. The wood neck was given to me by a neighbor. I carved the tuning peg from a cedar block. The string is actually a 0.009 steel guitar string. I can play the instrument as a fiddle and as a guitar. Actually, using a violin bow produces some weird sounds so i don't use the bow all that much with this fiddle.
