I've played on the streets in Saratoga a few times and it is always fun. The CBGs do attract some good attention. I don't play well enough to get many tips and it's really not why I am out there, but I always have great conversation with several people.
The Iron Roost is just on First Friday's in B-Spa. Still, I think it is a great venue. Shoot me a message here if you plan on playing in town again. I'd like to meet a fellow, local CBG'er.
Indeed, I have, several times, but have not been back in a while. Did not know that about Iron Roost. May have to check that out ... thanks, Ed, for the "heads up"! I do the streets in Saratoga in the summer, and this summer I plan to debut my cbg's ... should be a tip getter!
From your profile pic, it looks like you have performed at Coffee Planet in B-Spa. If you are looking for another place to perform, the Iron Roost in B-Spa is looking for live music during their Bistro Nights. I think a CBG would be a good fit there.
No, Ed, I don't think they'll take yours down, and I'm fine with it being there ... no problem! The one I made them I'm sure they'll display somewhere prominently as a store advertiser, since I put their logo on it. It's just so cool that there is a community of us out there ... and I mean, we're "out there"! LOL
I'm happy if they want to take mine down since you are selling in there...if you're worried about confusing prospective buyers. I've always liked dealing with the guys in there and one in particular always gives me boxes for 1/2 price. Last time I went in there were hardly any so you must have cleaned them out! Haha.
