Walnut neck with cherry sides on headstock. This was my first magnetic pickup. I just became a man all over again!!! Used a piece o reclaimed maple flooring as the bridge (you'll notice the nail hole)

    Wes, the pickup is right up against the bridge...I really sounds incredible. For a $25 pickup I was blown away! I added a sound byte in my music section. Check it out for yourself. When it's not plugged in it sounds like a banjo for some reason. Could be the 23" Scale or it could just be the nature of that box. Who knows. Either way, the sound came out better that I could have expected. I feel like I have lost my CBG virginity now. LOL.

    Travis, Dunno if this is going to make a diff, but is the pickup a little close to the bridge? How does it sound?
