my first attempt at dyeing bone for the nut on my guitars. 40 year old camel bone that was meant to be white, that’s what I get for taking the cheaper option! The first on the left is how they came the one in the middle is with household bleach ‘made it look like a stick of chalk’ on the right is after 3 days in 6% hydrogen peroxide.
